Revali is one of the four supporting heroes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He represents the Rito race. As the game is set in Zelda's version of what is essentially the post-apocalypse, Revali is defeated before the game begins, and his characterisation takes place mostly with him appearing as a ghost, or in flashbacks.

What differentiates Revali from the other Champions is the fact that he worked to achieve his position. Mipha and Urbosa are both from royal bloodlines, and Daruk is a naturally powerful warrior. Revali, however, felt compelled to work on his skills in order to prove himself and earn his spot as a royal warrior. Through work and persistence, he developed his skills with a bow and the air, and considered his own skills to be on par with Link himself. Behind his cocky and snooty behaviour, Revali's intense desire and drive to prove himself lends itself to providing a much more compelling hero to The Legend of Zelda's world.
